Athletic Training
Athletic Training Adjust Font Size Smaller Larger

The athletic training services at MMC exist to provide student-athletes with an opportunity to participate in intercollegiate athletics in the safest and healthiest environment possible. MMC athletic training services focus on prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and first aid care of injuries and illnesses. The training room is located in the SW corner of Laddie E. Cimpl Arena.

The athletic training staff and coaches work with our team physician in providing the best care and counseling for treatment options. Athletes with injuries and/or illnesses (all medical problems, i.e. colds, viruses, allergies, infections, skin disorders, chest pain) will be evaluated by an athletic trainer and placed on a course of treatment that may include visiting with the team physician, or another physician depending availability of their services and type of injury/illness. Our goal is to offer the medical resources necessary to allow our student-athletes to reach their maximal potential and to return to play as soon as it is medically safe. This is accomplished through the professional relationship and the support of local physicians who specialize in various areas of healthcare relative to sports medicine.
