MMC TO PRESENT TOUCHING DRAMA IN FALL THEATRE PRODUCTION

YANKTON, S.D. – Mount Marty College Theatre will present TO GILLIAN ON HER 37th BIRTHDAY as part of the campus Blue & Gold Days Celebration November 6-8. The touching drama by Michael Brady will be played Thursday through Saturday beginning at 7:30pm in Marian Auditorium.

Some love lasts a lifetime. Real love lasts forever. Nearing the second anniversary of Gillian's tragic death, the family gathers back at the beach house where widower David continues to seclude himself. Through the love, support and urging of those around him, he struggles to re-embrace life without Gillian in this charming, inspiring and wonderful family drama that celebrates love, loss and life.

The cast for GILLIAN includes Taylor Biltoft, Nelson, NE as David; Ashton Walter, Howard, SD as Rachel; Jessica Polk, Clarkson, NE as Cindy; Zachary McComas, Yankton, SD as Paul; Miriah Kirton, Freeman, SD as Esther; Sally Schwedhelm, Hoskins, NE as Kevin; and Sarah Klug, St. Helena, NE as Gillian. GILLIAN is under the direction of Andy Henrickson, Associate Professor of Speech & Theatre; Technical Direction and Supervision by Dr. Nelson Stone, Assistant Professor of Philosophy; Costume Design by Keryl Brady, Yankton, SD; Lighting Design by James Hovland, Crofton, NE.

TO GILLIAN ON HER 37th BIRTHDAY is MMC Theatre’s Associate Entry in the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).
