According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities in the areas of forensic science have dramatically increased due to new applications in science and technology. The Forensic Science program started in the fall of 2002 with higher than
expected enrollment. Our first graduating class was in 2007. Our most recent graduating class (2009) graduated four students. Three of these graduates are going on to obtain masters in the field or additional specialized training and one has chosen to seek employment with local crime enforcement agencies.
Historically, Mount Marty has a 94% job placement rate of its graduates and based on the
growth of the field, we expect a high job placement rate in the Forensic Science
program as well. We believe this high placement rate is a testament to the
quality of education that is provided at Mount Marty College.
Employers who hire our graduates report that Mount Marty graduates are
well-prepared, professional, caring, and experienced beyond their years. The
Forensic Science program is designed to provide students with state-of-the-art
training as well as research and internship opportunities that will instill
students with the practical experiences necessary to gain employment. |
