Many human service students become active in the Mount Marty College PB&J (Psychology, Behavioral Science & Criminal Justice Club. The PB&J Club hosts guest speakers in the area of human services, goes on field trips to visit potential career sites, performs in various outreach projects and hosts social events.

Human Services majors will also participate in a service learning project and an internship. Opportunities include a variety of sites to include Yankton Care Center, Sister James Nursing Care, Yankton Area Adjustment Training Center, Yankton Women's shelter, Human Services Center, Springfield Juvenile Academy, Mount Marty College Day Care, Sacred Heart Hospital, and public schools. Other internship sites are used to meet students' specific interests.
