There are many recreational opportunities that exist on the Missouri River and Lewis & Clark Lake located within a short distance of the Mount Marty College campus.
The Recreation Management program is intended to equip students with the latest innovations in technology and hands-on field experience in the areas of recreation and business. This Bachelor of Arts degree helps students develop a true appreciation for recreation activities and the outdoors. They learn to organize and promote recreation in order to help people enjoy and benefit from leisure
activities.
What makes the Mount Marty College Recreation Management Program unique?
Our curriculum is not limited to Recreation Management courses. A large
portion of the curriculum focuses on the business aspect of the field, preparing
the student for more than recreation. A computer emphasis is also highly
recommended in the program.
Mount Marty College graduates from Recreation Management are able to work,
utilize, and obtain recreational opportunities with sound business knowledge and
computer skills. In fact, the electives allowed in this program will
enable students to specialize their degree with and emphasis in computers,
business, physical education, or coaching. The curriculum is not limited
to classroom learning, but also features recreational internships and outdoor
experience classes. |
