Computer Information Systems
With the advancements being made in computing technology, expertise in computer information systems is essential to society, industry, and education. Computer information systems graduates are in high demand. While pursuing a degree at Mount Marty College, students will develop an in-depth knowledge of the computer-based technologies and information systems. Research activity is part of the degree program.
Computer information systems majors study algorithm analysis, data structures, program design and programming languages. They also learn database design, networking, graphics and operating systems. In essence, students will learn how computers work inside and out.
The computer information systems major prepares professionals in the development and use of computer-based technologies to develop systems that fulfill business information needs. Mount Marty College’s program trains students to analyze business needs and to design, implement, and use information systems to satisfy those needs.
