The best and the brightest of Mount Marty's prospective student class are invited to compete in our annual Scholarship Day competitions. Students with a minimum of a 26 ACT or a 3.5 high school GPA will have the opportunity to vie for MMC's most prestigious scholarships with the top award being full-tuition.

In order to be eligible to compete in MMC's Academic Scholarship Days, the student must be admitted to Mount Marty and submit a cover page, essay, and letter of recommendation two weeks prior to the date of the event. Interested students will also have the opportunity to audition or interview for talent scholarships on this day in the areas of band, choir, theatre and art.

Academic Scholarships
Students will compete for the highest academic scholarship for which they qualify.

Scholarship Name Requirements Scholarship Amount
Presidential 30 ACT or 4.0 GPA Up to 100% tuition
Deans 29 ACT or 3.9 GPA Up to $10,000
Trustee 28 ACT or 3.7 GPA Up to $9,000
Benedictine 26 ACT or 3.5 GPA Up to $8,000

(NOTE: The above scholarships replace all other MMC academic & Catholic scholarships.)

Academic Scholarships: How to Apply

  1. Must be accepted to MMC by a minimun of 2 weeks prior to the event date for which you are registered. Apply online.
  2. Submit cover page which includes the following information: name, address, phone number, grade point average, ACT score, and name of high school.
  3. Submit an essay, 200 words or more, on ONE of the following topics:
    Have you ever struggled for something and succeeded? What made successful? OR
    Have you ever struggled for something and failed? How did you respond?
  4. Submit a Letter of Recommendation from your guidance counselor or a teacher.
  5. Participation in one of the two Scholarship Day events.
  6. Documents requested in 2, 3, and 4 must be received by a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date for which you are registered.

Talent Awards
Band, Choir, Theatre, & Art Scholarships require an on-campus audition or interview.

  1. Must be accepted to MMC by a minimun of 2 weeks prior to the event date for which you are registered. Apply online.
  2. Submit a cover page which includes the following information: name, address, phone number, and name and address of high school.
  3. Submit a list of plays, musicals, oral interpretation contests, music events, art exhibits, contests, and related awards and events in which you have been involved in during school.
  4. Submit a letter of recommendation from your theatre, speech, art or music teacher, which emphasizes your talents.
  5. Complete an on-campus audition or interview on the event date for which you are registered.
  6. Documents requested in 2, 3, and 4 must be received by a minimun of 2 weeks prior to the event date for which you are registered.
