Mount Marty College has a professional staff of Enrollment Counselors to assist you through the admissions and college planning process. Our Enrollment Counselors work with you on an individual basis so you receive the personal attention you deserve. We have experience with high school students, transfer students, international students, and adult learners.

Hello! My name is Jill Paulson and I am the Director of Admissions at Mount Marty College. I am a native of Tabor, SD and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a concentration in English from the University of South Dakota in 1998.
I have been working at MMC since July of 2000 and have had various roles within the Admissions Office before taking on the role of Director as of June 2012. I love working with students (and their families) as they pursue their educational and career dreams and find their home away from home at MMC!
I live in Yankton with my husband, Justin, and my daughter, Kaitlin. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, reading and volunteering with the various programs my daughter is involved in, especially the Yankton Children's Theatre Company.

Hello! My name is Jeanne Haar and if you attend high school anywhere in South Dakota, I am your Enrollment Counselor.
I am a 2001 Mount Marty College graduate and began my position in the Admissions Office soon after graduation. I enjoy assisting students as they plan for college and with the application and enrollment process at MMC. I hope to see you here at Mount Marty College for a campus visit and at a post high school planning day in your area in the near future!
My home is here in Yankton with my husband, Doug, and our daughter, Ava. Yankton is a beautiful town with fantastic outdoor recreation! My family and I love to spend time outdoors biking, going to Lewis & Clark Lake or to one of the many parks in town (Ava loves the duck pond park across from MMC Campus!). I also try my best to get to the gym or go for a jog outdoors.

Hi, my name is Meg Walker and I am the Enrollment Counselor for Traditional Freshman from Nebraska at Mount Marty College.
I was primarily raised in Tucson, AZ. My father and aunt are both proud alumni of Mount Marty College and they influenced my personal decision to attend MMC as a non-traditional student. I can now say that I, too, am a proud graduate of Mount Marty College and earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2011.
After working as a Youth Counselor for about 2 years, I gladly found myself back at Mount Marty College - this time as an Enrollment Counselor in the Admissions Office. I believe that my educational experiences at both large universities and community colleges before buckling down at MMC and my prior work experience gives me a keen awareness of what prospective students are experiencing as they move through the enrollment process and look forward to assisting them in every step along the way.
I live in Yankton and when I'm not working, I enjoy watching tons of movies, walking my dog, and cooking. I also enjoy all the camping and outdoor recreational activities that the Yankton area has to offer.

Hello, my name is TJ Smith and I am the enrollment counselor for traditional freshmen from all states except for South Dakota and Nebraska. I was born and raised in Lake Crystal (just south of Mankato), Minnesota and am a Mount Marty College alum, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry. I also competed in cross country and track and field while attending the Mount.
I began my position in August of 2010. I'm excited to be back home. My wife Kari and I reside in Mission Hill (6 miles outside of Yankton) and love attending Mount Marty events. Our newest addition, daughter Tenley (born in October 2011), is also an avid supporter of all MMC activities. Kari and I also enjoy hiking, camping, golfing, and pretty much anything outdoors. Yankton is a beautiful town with a lot to offer. I hope we can provide all you are looking for in a college experience. Hello, my name is Albert Fernandez. I was raised in Benson, AZ and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in HPER Secondary Education from Mount Marty College in 1997.
I have been working for MMC since July of 2005 and enjoy working with new students as they work through the enrollment process. I am also the Head Softball Coach here at the college and truly enjoy working with our student athletes.
I live in Yankton with my children AJ and Mya. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, playing golf, and taking my children fishing. Hi! My name is Brent Shaffner and I am the Enrollment Councelor for the Watertown campus of MMC. I am also a Mount Marty alum graduating with a BA in Business Administration in May 2011.
I am from Ree Heights, South Dakota originally and have lived in Watertown since 2006. I frequently go back home for ranchwork year around to help out friends and family. I am an avid hunter and fisherman as many South Dakotans are. My wife Jamie and I are both huge football fans and we love to watch games together.
