Planning Checklist: Transfer Students Adjust Font Size Smaller Larger
  • Visit Mount Marty College to visit with admissions, financial aid, faculty, coaches and students. Get a tour of campus.
  • Complete Application for Admission.
  • Submit a $25 application fee, however, if you are applying online then your application fee is deferred until you register. You have so much to gain and nothing to lose.
  • Request that your official college transcript is sent directly to Mount Marty College Admissions Office from all the post-secondary institutions you have attended.
  • Once we receive your transcripts, you will receive a credit evaluation to inform you what will transfer and what you have left to complete your degree at MMC. Mount Marty College accepts transfer credits from all accredited institutions of a grade of C or better. You may send an unofficial transcript to receive a free credit evaluation.
  • Submit an official high school transcript by contacting your high school.
  • Transfer students DO NOT need to submit ACT transcripts.
  • Submit final transcripts once all classes are complete prior to enrollment at Mount Marty College.
  • Explore the internet and scholarships search online for scholarships.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for financial aid. You can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or ask your Admissions Counselor for a FAFSA. If you have already completed your FAFSA for the upcoming year, call your Admissions Counselor with the DRN number form your Student Aid Report.
  • Residence living is required of full-time students under 21 years of age, unless you are living with a parent or guardian within 30 miles of Yankton, are married, and/or have dependants.  Students must submit a housing application do apply to live on-campus.  Students living off-campus must submit an Off-campus Housing Intent Form.
  • Attend New Student Registration to meet your advisor and register for classes.
  • Meet MMC's immunization requirements and complete medical forms.
  • Attend New Student Orientation for Transfer students.
