Paige Linden is a third-year biology and chemistry major from Whiting, Iowa. She's currently applying for the BRIN research program this summer and planning to pursue a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine for either small or wildlife animals after graduation. At Mount Marty, she's involved with a number of activities, including ADMIT Club, Biology/Chemistry Club, Ambassadors, ASPIRE and Campus Ministries.
Favorite Activities.
"My favorites activities would have to be ADMIT Club and Campus Ministries. I love showing prospective students our campus and letting them know what Mount Marty is all about. It's always great to see students I gave tours to enrolled as freshmen the following year! Also, Campus Ministries is very spiritually rewarding for me, as it helps keep me [focused] and aware of what is really important in life."
Great Campus, Great Atmosphere.
"Everything about Mount Marty was right. Coming from a small high school, it wasn't too big. Everyone was friendly, and I fell in love with the campus. Walking away from my first campus visit, I knew this was the place where I wanted to be."
Recommendation without Hesitation.
"I of course recommend the Mount to prospective students! We have so many things that you can't find at other universities, and it's wonderful to become a part of such a tight-knit college community."
Best Memories.
Though it's impossible for Paige to single out a favorite memory at Mount Marty, she notes that "homecoming week is always a blast" with everyone on campus coming out to activities and Student Government Association doing an "awesome job of keeping [students] entertained throughout the week."
The Road Ahead.
After job-shadowing various professionals, Paige ruled out human medical services as a career path; instead, she turned her attention to animal medical services. She is hoping to do research this summer in western South Dakota and will be applying for veterinary schools this fall. |
