Located on the Bluffs of the Missouri River, Yankton is a thriving community and home of the largest South Dakota water-based recreational area.

Yankton is widely known for the popular recreation activities available at Lewis & Clark Lake and the Missouri River. Swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, hiking, biking, dining, horseback riding, and much more are within minutes of the Mount Marty College campus.

Yankton is a small community of 15,000 providing a variety of work and cultural opportunities. Yankton is approximately 80 miles southwest of Sioux Falls, 60 miles northwest of Sioux City, and about a 2 1/2 hour drive north from Omaha.
