Published Date2\9\2011
Mount Marty College Theatre will unveil a new performance space with its production of AN INSPECTOR CALLS, written by J.B. Priestley, running February 23-26 on the Yankton campus. The play is being produced in The Bistro Second Stage, located in Bede Hall, Room 127, with a curtain time of 7:30 p.m.

Set in 1912 England, all seems well for the Birling family. Prosperous and influential, they are content until the mysterious Inspector Goole interrupts their daughters engagement party to question them about the mysterious death of a young woman. As the inspectors questions reveal family secrets, tensions mount, and the mystery surrounding her death is nearly resolved until one more plot twist sends the family - and the audience reeling. Director Stephen English cites, The play addresses the issues of community and our responsibility as citizens of that community . . . Community demands responsibility.

The play is under the direction, scenic and lighting design of English, Instructor of Theatre, costume design by Keryl Brady, Adjunct Instructor of Theatre, and sound design by Nicholas Rokahr, Yankton, S.D.
