Mount Marty College Announces Two Presidential Candidates
Sister Jeanne Weber, chair of Mount Marty Colleges Presidential Search Committee, announces that two candidates have been recommended to the Board of Trustees for its consideration. The Board will meet on Friday, February 18, to interview the following candidates.
Mr. Tom Oster, from Pierre, South Dakota, is the immediate past Secretary of Education for the State of South Dakota and past Superintendent of the Avon School District, Avon, South Dakota.
Dr. Richard Lloyd, from Hastings, Nebraska, is currently the Vice President for College Initiatives at Hastings College and previously served as Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of the Faculty and Professor of English at Hastings College.
Both candidates participated in extensive campus interviews and were deemed to have the qualifications desired to lead Mount Marty College into the future. Each candidate has extensive experience in education and espouses the values and traditions of the institution. Sister Jeanne stated, The Search Committee and the campus community have worked diligently throughout this entire process and we are pleased to have two very strong candidates to present to the Board.
