Brady Mattress Costumes Recognized

Keryl Brady, Adjunct Instructor and Costume Designer/Coordinator for the Mount Marty College Theatre Department, has received a nomination for representation in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival’s (KCACTF) Costume Parade at the Region V annual event being held on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames January 15-21, 2012. Brady’s design and execution of costumes for the recent MMC Theatre production ONCE UPON A MATTRESS received the recognition of excellence by KCACTF Respondent Matthew Nesmith, Coordinator of Musical Theatre at the University of South Dakota.

Brady and her crew of students, Gina Dethlefsen, Samantha Tobey, Sara Hensley, Sarah Kokesh, Morgan Hanzlik, Chelsey Burbach and Debra Williams, clocked in over 1000 hours to complete the project.

This is Brady’s second nomination for a KCACTF Costume Parade. Her costumes for the Fall 2009 MMC Theatre production THE BRIDE OF BRACHENLOCH were featured in the Costume Parade for the Region V festival held in Overland, KS, hosted by the Johnson County Community College in January, 2010.
