Lancers' head volleyball coach, Candice Climer, is enthusiastic about adding Ogstad to the roster. "Kayli comes with a lot of volleyball background and experience. She has made many state appearances with her high school volleyball team and with Kayli's wealth of experience this will make her a great asset to our team." In addition to her skills as a volleyball player, Ogstad has also signed with the MMC track and field program and plans to participate in the heptathlon. She earned accolades in 2009 as the rookie of the year in this event and also participated in the 2009 GNC Championships.

MMC head track and field coach, Randy Fischer, sees a great addition in Ogstad. "She is an all-around great athlete and I'm excited to have her in Yankton and on our team. She's got a great competitive attitude which always is a positive addition to any team." Ogstad, daughter of Mindi Koch and Jon Ogstad, plans to major in nursing at Mount Marty College and will be receiving one of MMC's prestigious academic scholarships, the Benedictine Scholarship. She is also receiving the Catholic Leadership Award along with her volleyball and track and field awards.
