Westcott to Play for MMC Soccer Program

Published Date4\20\2012
Kaitlyn Westcott of Norfolk, NE has signed to play for the Mount Marty College women's soccer program the school announces.

Lancer head coach, Nathan Epp, is looking forward to having Westcott join the team this fall. "We are excited to have Kaitlyn join our soccer program. She will bring some much needed depth, speed and experience to our defense. She is one of those rare soccer players that has played defense since she was young so she will be very comfortable back there."

Westcott, a Norfolk Senior High School student, received all-academic honors in soccer and golf and was named all-conference in both soccer and golf. She received varsity letters in golf, soccer, and dance. "Mount Marty is getting a great student-athlete in Kaitlyn," added coach Epp. "She is very multi-talented and is used to being involved in different activities. She will be a great addition to our student body."

The daughter of Bill and Susie of Norfolk, NE, Westcott plans on majoring in elementary education at Mount Marty College. She is also the recipient of one of MMC's prestigious scholarships, the Dean’s Scholarship in addition to her soccer award.
