Published Date11\14\2012
The Mount Marty College Concert Band will present their Fall Concert on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Marian Auditorium on the Mount Marty College campus. Mount Marty College band director, Dean Rettedal, promises that the audience will enjoy the variety of music as much as the musicians do performing the concert.

Early in the concert the Mount Marty Band will perform "Custer's Band" which is a piece that was commissioned by the Mount Marty College Gregorian Club in 2004. March lovers will also enjoy the "1st South Dakota Infantry March" that was arranged by Joseph Pekas of the Mitchell, SD National Guard Band. A featured piece in the concert will be a medley of selections from the Broadway musical "Oliver". Another interesting new piece that will be showcased in the concert is "Earhart: Sounds of Courage", which is music written about Amelia Earhart's fateful solo flight across several continents.

The concert is free and the public is invited to attend. For more information on the Mount Marty College band, please visit our MMC Band section.
