Cancer Awareness at the Lancers Home Basketball Games Wednesday

Published Date2\8\2013
On Wednesday, February 13th, the Mount Marty College men's and women's basketball teams are having a cancer awareness night to help raise awareness for breast cancer. The women's game at 6:00 pm will have the women sporting special "Think Pink" warm ups and during the men's game at 8:00 pm it will feature "Suits and Sneakers" for the coaches of the team.

Between the women's and men's games a free-will donation will be collected. All the donations received during that time will be donated to local cancer causes.

Head women's basketball coach, Thomas Schlimgen, said, "We've been doing something to support breast cancer awareness for about ten years now and we always see such a wonderful response. It's a great feeling at the end of the night to know that you've made an impact right here in our community."

Come support the Lancers men's and women's basketball programs and breast cancer awareness. Admission to the game is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students are $2. For more information on Mount Marty College's basketball programs please visit www.mmclancers.com.
