Published Date2\13\2013
Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Sierra Kloth of Sioux Falls O'Gorman High School to participate in volleyball and track for the Lancers next fall.

On the court, the 5'11" Kloth will play an outside and middle hitter. She was a part of the O'Gorman seventh place state tournament team this past year and competed with the Kairos Elite volleyball squad at the National AAU tournament in 2012, finishing 18th - the highest ever placement for a team from South Dakota.

Head MMC volleyball coach, Candice Climer is also excited to welcome Kloth to the program. "Sierra is versatile in that she can play all the way around and in many hitting positions. She will be a great addition to our Lancer volleyball program for the next four years."

On the field, Kloth competed in the high jump and was a state participant all four years of high school with a personal best of 5'2".

"We are excited to have Sierra join us next year," says Coach Fischer, "she has a great deal of potential in the jumping events and we look forward to having her on the team in the years to come."

Kloth, daughter of Mike and Janna Kloth and Tracy and Tricia Smith of Sioux Falls, SD, plans to major in nursing at Mount Marty College. She is the recipient of an academic achievement scholarship in addition to her track and volleyball awards.
