24th Annual Business Community Prayer Breakfast to be Held
Mount Marty College and the Yankton Kiwanis Club are holding their 24th annual Business Community Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, March 26th. The event entitled, "Ethics in the Business World", is an opportunity for members of the Yankton business community to gather during Holy Week to discuss the importance of ethics in day to day business functions. It will be held on the Mount Marty College campus in the recently remodeled Roncalli Center Main Dining Room from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Dr. Pamela J. Rezac, president and CEO of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, will be the guest speaker at the event. Dr. Rezac, joined Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in 1997. Prior to her appointment as President, she served as the Vice President of Health Care Services for Avera Health. She also served as Vice President of Patient Care and then Vice President of Administration at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital from 1980 to 1992.
Dr. Rezac received a Registered Nurse diploma from Methodist School of Nursing/Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, South Dakota; a Bachelor of Science Degree, and Master of Health Care Degree in Health Care Administration both from the University of Minnesota; and her Doctorate in Adult and Higher Education, with concentration in organizational dynamics and change process in 1996 from the University of South Dakota.
Dr. Rezac is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE). She was the state regent to ACHE for four years. She has served as an adjunct professor at Mount Marty College and the University of South Dakota. Dr. Rezac is a past Chair of the South Dakota Association of Health Care Organizations governing board. She was recently appointed to the national Joint Commission Hospital Advisory Council and Joint Quality Collaborative Council of the South Dakota Medical Association and the South Dakota Hospital Association. She is the Chairperson of the Yankton Area Progressive Growth Board, a member of the Yankton Economic Development Council and the Regional Technical Educational Board.
