Mount Marty Signs Centerville Basketball/Track Standout

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the commitment of Brittany Austin to attend Mount Marty College this fall and participate for the Lancer women's basketball team and track program.

Austin has had an impressive basketball career at Centerville High School where she had the second highest career assists as well as second highest assists in a single game. She was also named all-conference four years in a row and was team captain her last three years. "Brittany has had a very productive high school career at Centerville and we look forward to her ability to contribute to the Mount Marty College women's basketball program, her leadership skills and ability to play solid defense will make her an asset to our team," says women's basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen.

In addition to her basketball skills she will assist the Mount Marty College track program. Mount Marty College head track coach, Randy Fischer, is excited about Brittany's commitment to the Lancer track program. "Brittany is a very good athlete, with a great attitude. She will be a big part of our throwing group in the outdoor track season the next four years."

Austin, the daughter of Tim and Jackie, will pursue a degree in elementary education at Mount Marty College.
