"I am pleased that Jared has decided to transfer to Mount Marty to continue his education and to play college baseball. Jared has a smooth left-handed swing that allows him to hit. He is coming off of a great season and comes from a tremendous program in Itasca. Jared should be a great fit for the campus community and the baseball progam. I am pleased that we were able to recruit a player of Jared's caliber to Mount Marty."
Jared is the son of Steve and Colleen Nelson. Jared plans to major in exercise wellness and will receive an academic incentive scholarship in addition to his athletic baseball scholarship at Mount Marty College.
