Mount Marty Volleyball Signs Lake Andes Johanneson

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Dennisha Johanneson of Andes Central High School to play volleyball for the Lancers next year.

Johanneson is a 5'9" outside/middle hitter and setter, was named First Team Little Missouri Valley Conference and First Team South Central Conference in 2012 and South Central Conference Honorable Mention 2011. She also received the Most Improved award for both 2011 and 2012.

Her 2012 stats were: 149 kills, 51 assists, 25 blocks, 128 digs, 88% serving, and 53 service aces. Lancers' head volleyball coach, Candice Climer, is excited about the signing of Johanneson. "Dennisha will be a great addition to our Mount Marty Campus. Her success in both athletics and academics will be great assets to our program."

Dennisha, daughter of Doug Johanneson and the late Denelle Johanneson of Lake Andes, SD plans to major in nursing and will be receiving an academic merit scholarship in addition to her volleyball award.
