Published Date12\3\2013
Mount Marty College is proud to announce the athletic signing of Jalen Hurley of Parkston, SD to play basketball for the 2014-15 season. Hurley, a 6'5" forward from Parkston High School, averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal per game and shot 46% from the field and a thirty-eight three point percentage. He was named Little Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference and Southeast South Dakota All-Conference. Head coach Andrew Baker is thrilled about the early commit, "We are excited to have Jalen join our program. He is a great kid from a great family and represents everything that this Lancer program is about. Physically, he is long, athletic, and can shoot the basketball. He will need to get a bit stronger but he possesses the talent and size to be a very nice wing player for us in the future." Jalen Hurley, the son of Jarren and Michelle Hurley, plans to major in accounting at Mount Marty College.
