Mount Marty Volleyball Adds to Roster

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Taylor Murtha of Brandon Valley High School to play volleyball for the Lancers next year.

Murtha is a 5'4" libero that was named Metro All-Conference, ESD All-Conference, Academic All-State, and holds the Brandon Valley High School records for digs and serves received.

Her 2013 stats were: 529 digs, 93% serving, and 14 service aces.

Lancers' head volleyball coach, Candice Climer, is excited about the signing of Murtha. "Taylor will be a great addition to our Mount Marty Campus. Taylor's athletic ability, knowledge of the game, and academics in the classroom will be a great asset to our program."

Murtha, daughter of Larry and Bonnie Murtha of Brandon, SD, plans to major in nursing and will be receiving an academic merit scholarship in addition to her volleyball award.
