Mount Marty College Signs Sutera of Bon Homme HS

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Kelsey Sutera to both the Lancer women's basketball program and the cross country program for the 2014-15 season.

Sutera, a 5'8" forward/guard, was a three time letter winner at BHHS. She averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game with a 33 percent three point field goal average.

MMC head women's basketball coach, Tom Schlimgen, is happy to have Sutera on the team. "We are excited to have Kelsey join our program. Her hard work and dedication both on the court and in the classroom are what we look for in our student-athletes. Her enthusiasm, energy, and leadership will have a positive impact on our program."

In cross country, Sutera was a four time letter winner at BHHS and placed 20th at the 2009 state meet.

Head MMC cross country coach, Randy Fischer, is excited to sign Sutera. "Kelsey is a very talented cross country athlete that loves to run and we are excited for her to be part of our cross country program as she will fit in well with our current team and continue the success that we are building."

The daughter of Richard and Krista Sutera of Tabor, SD, Kelsey will be majoring in medical laboratory science at MMC. In addition to her athletic awards Sutera will also be receiving an Academic Merit Scholarship.
