The Mount Marty College men's soccer program is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Renner Mickelson of Mitchell, SD to play soccer for the Lancers this coming season. Mickelson will graduate from Mitchell High School this spring.

"We are excited to have Renner join our team this fall," stated MMC head men's soccer coach, Nathan Epp. "He is very athletic and has the size and speed that will make him very versatile for us. He has a great knack for being around the ball as evidenced by being a significant contributor in both goals and assists on his high school team. He has tremendous potential and will help our program continue to move forward in the right direction."

In addition to his soccer award, Mickelson is also the recipient of an Academic Honors Scholarship.

Epp continues, "Renner comes from a great family and is a great student. Mount Marty is fortunate to have him as part of our student body."

The son of Clark and Jeri Mickelson of Mitchell, SD and grandson of Ted Mickelson of Yankton, SD, Renner plans to major in nursing at Mount Marty College.
