The Creation Presented by MMC Music Dept

Mount Marty College music department is pleased to present Haydn's The Creation on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30pm in the Bishop Marty Memorial Chapel. The concert is being offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of local businesses and individuals. A freewill offering will be taken to help support future MMC music department projects.

The Mount Marty Choral Union, as well as an orchestra of players from South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota will join the MMC Mixed Choir for this concert of Haydn's great oratorio. Soloists for the evening include Jessica Tice and Leacadia Christensen from Mount Marty College along with James Cooper and Brody Krogman from USD. Mount Marty College Director of Choral Activities and Music Department Chair, Dr. Kenneth Tice, will conduct the concert.

The MMC music department would like to acknowledge and thank Clark Eide, the Mount Marty College Gregorian Club, and First National Bank - Yankton, SD for contributing to this concert by supporting our singers and instrumentalist. Recognition and thank you is also extended to Joesph N. Benoit, Ph. D; Culver's of Mitchell, SD; Rebecca Johnson Yoga Classes; LilyCrest; Mount Marty College Office of Advancement; TeMari Designs, LLC; Jessica Tice; and Fr. Thomas Wordekemper who gave silent auction items to the Evening of Entertainment event held earlier this month. The money raised from that concert went towards The Creation.
