Lancer Athletic Ceremony and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies Held
Mount Marty College held its annual Lancer Athletic Ceremony and Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies May 4th, 2014 on the campus of Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD.
Inductees in to the Hall of Fame were Eliza Leloux, a women's basketball and track athlete from 1999 to 2003; Matt Tereshinski, a baseball athlete from 1995 to 1999; and Audra Tramp Tonn, a women's basketball athlete from 1992-1996.
Lancer Club Award is given to the student-athlete in each sport who best exemplifies scholarship, citizenship, and leadership in their respective. The 2013-2014 Lancer Club Award winners are:

The Lancer Champions of Character Award winner for 2013-2014 is awarded annually to the one student athlete that best portrays the values of the NAIA core character values - responsibility, respect, servant leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship. The 2013-14 winner is Abbey VanDenBerg from Sioux Falls, SD.
The Yankton Quarterback Club Female Athlete of the Year is cross country athlete Katie Smelker. Smelker, a Stratton, Colo. native, earned All-American status this fall at the NAIA National Cross Country Meet. She was also named the Great Plains Athletic Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Year.
The Yankton Quarterback Club Male Athlete of the Year is baseball athlete Jared Miller. Miller, a Sioux Falls, SD native, led the Great Plains Athletic Conference in batting average, set school records for hits and doubles during his career, and is in the top 5 in several other MMC statistical categories.
