Jutting to Play Baseball at Mount Marty College

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the commitment of Watertown High School senior, Trevor Jutting, to attend the College this fall and participate in the baseball program.

Jutting is a 3rd baseman and pitcher for the Watertown High School Club Baseball and Legion Teams. He is a multi-sport athlete for WHS and has had an impressive high school athletic career that includes being named All-Conference and All-State in football. Jutting's career on the ball diamond has also been impressive and included an outstanding sophomore season for the Watertown Post 17 Legion Team. Jutting carried a team leading .417 batting average with 48 hits, 37 runs, 13 doubles, 3 triples, and 3 home runs, with 22 runs batted in. As a pitcher Jutting was 3-3 with 40 innings pitched. He had another impressive showing during his junior campaign where he was 6-2 as a pitcher with a 2.62 earned run average while averaging almost a strikeout per inning. Jutting also recorded a .312 batting average with 48 hits, 42 Runs, 14 doubles, 1 triple, and 4 home runs with 38 runs batted in.

Mount Marty College head baseball coach, Andy Bernatow, is happy to announce the commitment of Jutting to the Lancer baseball program. "I am excited for Trevor to join the program and the campus community. The College and program is getting an outstanding young man. He has the potential to make an impact at the varsity level early in his career and the ability to have an outstanding collegiate career. He is advanced for a high school hitter and shows some decent power in his swing as a hitter. We are graduating some key middle of the order hitters this year and next year which made Trevor a high priority of this recruiting class."

During his high school career Trevor was a member Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and was selected to as academic All-State in both basketball and football. Jutting will major in special education at Mount Marty College. The son of Todd and Lesli Jutting and Kayla and Rob Pederson, Trevor is the recipient of a Mount Marty College Honors Scholarship for his academic achievement in addition to his baseball scholarship.
