MMC Womens Soccer Signs Two Athletes
The Mount Marty College women's soccer program is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Lindsey Hunsley and Alejandra Rodriguez to play soccer for the Lancers this Fall. Hunsley is a Belle Fourche High School graduate and Rodriguez is from South Sioux City High School.
Hunsley, a 5'6" defender and midfielder, was a four year starter and letter winner for a Belle Fourche team that placed 2nd in state three years and 5th the other year during her high school career. Lindsey also played club soccer for the Rapid City/Rushmore Soccer Club.
"Belle Fourche is used to winning and they have high expectations for their players. They are always known as being a very tough team physically and mentally and we are excited to have Lindsey bring that attitude here to Mount Marty," states MMC head coach Nathan Epp. "Lindsey can play defense or midfield for us and will provide some much needed depth at both of those positions."
Lindsey is the daughter of Aaron Hunsley of Belle Fouche, SD and plans to major in radiologic technology at Mount Marty College. In addition to her soccer scholarship, she will also be receiving an academic Achievement Scholarship from MMC.
Rodriguez, a 5'0" midfielder, was a three year letter winner for a much improved South Sioux City team. MMC head coach Nathan Epp stated, "Alejandra has very good technical ability. She is comfortable with the ball at her feet and is an excellent passer. She will fit in very well with our style of play and has the ability to play both forward and midfield for us."
Alejandra is the daughter of Martha Arveola of Dakota City, Neb. In addition to her soccer scholarship, Alejandra is also receiving an academic Incentive Scholarship from MMC.
