Published Date5\29\2014
The Mount Marty College women's soccer program is pleased to announce the athletic signings of Kelsey Trejo and Olivia Wray to play for the Lancers this fall. Trejo is a Van Buren High School graduate and Wray graduated this spring from DeLaSalle High School.

Trejo, a 5'7" midfielder and forward, was a four year starter and letter winner for Van Buren High School in Van Buren, Arkansas and also plays club soccer for the Fort Smith Express.

Head Coach Nathan Epp is excited about the addition of Kelsey to the program. "Kelsey is a very skilled soccer player at this point in her career. She has the ability to control the tempo of the game with her technical skills, has an excellent first touch, and is a tremendous passer. She has the ability to play the attacking midfield spot and we will also use her as a target forward. Her size and skill set will make her very dangerous up front. She will have an instant impact in our attack."

Kelsey is the daughter of Christina Trejo of Van Buren, Arkansas and plans to major in criminal justice at Mount Marty College. In addition to her soccer scholarship, she will also be receiving an Academic Achievement Scholarship from MMC.

Wray, is a 5'3" outside midfielder and forward and was a two year letter winner for DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During these two years, she helped her team compile a 43-29-2 record which is one of the best two year spans in school history.

MMC head coach Nathan Epp stated, "Olivia will help bring some much needed depth to our outside midfield and forward positions. She is very offensive minded and has the speed to help put pressure on defenses. Olivia is a great fit for MMC and will be a great addition to our student body. She is a very high character individual and has been involved in many volunteer activities."

Wray has been involved in organizing the Starry Night Prom which is a prom for individuals with disabilities and has also volunteered at Gigi's Playhouse which is a Down's syndrome achievement center.

Olivia is the daughter of Anne Marie Wray and Mike Wray of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to her soccer scholarship, Olivia is also receiving an Academic Incentive Scholarship from MMC.
