MMC Mens Basketball Inks Two
Mount Marty College men's basketball is proud to announce the athletic signings of Jackson Seitzinger of Yankton, SD and Geoffrey Dunker of Brush, Colorado to play for the 2014-15 season.
Seitzinger, a 6'2" guard and transfer from Minnesota West Community College, averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. He was named to the MCAC All-Conference Southern Division team as well as All-Conference Academic team. Seitzinger played at Minnesota West Community College for two seasons after graduating from Yankton High School in 2012.
Dunker, a 6'1" guard from Brush High School joins the Lancer program after a stellar high school career. He was a member of two state qualifying teams during his junior and senior seasons. Dunker was named 2nd team All-State his junior year followed up by a senior year this past season where he averaged 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Head MMC men's basketball coach Andrew Baker is very excited about the commitment of these two players. "I am thrilled to add both of these kids to our program. Jackson has college game experience and will add depth to our wing position and our junior class. Geoffrey is a bright young man who understands the game and can fit into our motion system very well. Both of these young men are good additions to the program that we are building."
The son of Tim and Tammy Seitzinger of Yankton, SD, Jackson will major in secondary physical education and will receive an academic scholarship in addition to his basketball award.
The son of Marc and Lori Dunker, Geoffrey plans to major in business at MMC and will also be receiving an academic scholarship in addition to his basketball award.
