Published Date7\2\2014

Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the athletic signing of Laura Cattle to play volleyball for the Lancers next year.

Cattle, a West Wyalong High School senior, is a 6'1 right side hitter and middle blocker from West Wyalong, New South Wales, Australia. Her volleyball background consists of the bronze medal at the NSW combined 16's and under national tournament in 2010, gold medal at NSW regional tournament in 2010, silver medal in 2011, and a bronze medal in 2012. Cattle was a part of the Australian Test team in 2013 and the Australian Merit team in 2010. She was the Captain of West Wyalong High School Volleyball team in 2013.

Lancers' head volleyball coach, Candice Climer, is excited about the singing of Cattle. "Laura is a great girl. She will add depth to our team on the right side as well as the middle hitting positions. She is also left handed which is even better for those positions. She has had a lot of volleyball playing experience and we are excited to have her share her knowledge with us. I think Mount Marty College and the GPAC Conference will be a great fit for Laura."

Laura, the daughter of Philip and Sharon Cattle, will be majoring in pre-professional. She is receiving an academic Honors Scholarship in addition to her volleyball award.
