Tylenol Scholarship
A Tylenol scholarship
is being offered to students in the health-related fields of study. They are
offering twenty $5,000 scholarships for the 2008 academic year. Applications
are available on line at Tylensol.com/scholarship. Deadline is September 30,
2007.
The
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is offering a scholarship
for the 2007-08 academic year. To be eligible you must be of Hispanic heritage,
be a US Citizen, have a minimum gpa of 3.0, and be a full time student.
Applications are available on line at www.hsf.net. Deadline is October 15, 2007.
The
Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association
This foundation
is offering a scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year. Applicant must be
currently enrolled in a state approved nursing program, taking no less than six
credits per semester, involved in student nursing organizations, document
academic achievement, and be a US citizen. Deadline line is January 11, 2008.
Applications are available on line at www.nsna.org and click on foundation/scholarships.
Students Beware of Scholarship
Scams
It’s that time of year when unscrupulous
individuals attempt to take advantage of students seeking scholarship aid. Our
office has been notified that some of our students have been receiving scam
mailings offering scholarship aid. When applying for a scholarship, keep these
points in mind:
- When applying for a
scholarship never give out information on your bank account or credit
card information.
- You should never have to pay
a fee in order to apply for a scholarship.
- Avoid any organization
stating they will “guarantee” you a scholarship.
