Prestigious Scholarships
These scholarships are available to new incoming freshman full-time students at the Yankton Campus.

Scholarship Name Amount Criteria
Presidential Scholarship Up to full tuition 30 ACT or 4.0 GPA
Deans Scholarship Up to $9,000 29 ACT or 3.9 GPA
Trustee Scholarship Up to $8,000 28 ACT or 3.7 GPA
Benedictine Scholarship Up to $7,000 26 ACT or 3.5 GPA

How to apply for Prestigious Scholarships:

  1. Apply for admission by February 1st.
  2. Submit essay and recommendation letter by February 1st.
  3. Participate in a Scholarship Day interview on February 8th or 10th.

Academic Scholarships & Awards

Eligibility: Full-time freshmen at Yankton Campus
Criteria: Awards and Scholarships vary depending on GPA, ACT

Deadline: None, apply by February 1st to receive higher level scholarships

Eligibility: Full-time transfer student at Yankton Campus
Criteria: Awards and Scholarships vary depending on GPA, ACT

Renewable
Mount Marty scholarships and awards are renewable to degree completion if student meets academic renewal requirements.

Other MMC Awards

Catholic Award
Amount: $2,000
Eligibility: Full-time freshmen at Yankton campus who are Catholic and meet admission criteria - requires participation in MMC Campus Ministry programs
Application: Apply for admission by February 1st and submit the priest referral card

Mount Marty Grant

Amount: Variable up to $4,000
Eligibility: Full-time students at Yankton campus who demonstrate financial need, awarded to Dependent students living on campus or with parents and to Independent students
Application: Apply for admission, complete the FAFSA, priority date is March 1

Athletic Grants
Amount: Variable
Eligibility: Full-time students who participate in intercollegiate athletics
Application: Apply for admission, Mount Marty College Coach recommendation

Talent Award
Amount: Variable
Eligibility: Students participating in theatre or music
Application: Apply for admission, audition is required

Ethics Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 or Pocket PC
Eligibility: High school senior
Apply: Essay of 500-1000 words on specially assigned topic by April 20th

F.W. Hatterscheidt Educational Scholarship
Amount: $1,400
Eligibility: Freshman, SD residents, 3.0 GPA, financial need
Application: Special application due by April 1st

Bishop Hoch Deanery Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: High school senior, SF Diocese member, financial need
Application: Special application by March 1st

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: High school senior, 24 ACT, 3.0 GPA, Regents Scholar
Apply: Special application by August 15th
