Educational Activities at MMC are designed to provide students with opportunities for learning outside of the classroom. Programs consist of a variety of speakers, films, forums, and community outreach projects.
Pizza with the President is one of MMC's newest programs on campus! This fall we began a program that allows students the opportunity to have a candid chat with the MMC President, Dr. James T. Barry! Dr. Barry has invited students to have supper (make your own Pizza!) with him and discuss the issues that are pressing to the students! The students get the opportunity to learn about the direction of the college and to understand some of the important issues facing Dr. Barry as well! This program has been a great success and we will continue this tradition! Look to the Student Life Calendar for the next Pizza with the President!
Mount Marty College will offer two Benedictine Lectures per annum on issues of theology and society. MMC will also seek additional speakers to address a number of continuing social and religious issues such as rural life, the role of women, social justice, justpeace, and the development servant leadership.
Mount Marty College also offers programs on diversity throughout the year. Coming up in January will be celebrations in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and a lecture by Preacher Moss on "The End of Racism".
