Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Nomination
A scene from the recent MMC Theatre production ALMOST, MAINE has been nominated for representation in the Region V Invited Scene Showcase at the upcoming regional festival in January being held on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames. The showcase will feature scenes of high quality, of a length less than 10 minutes and utilizing only essential furniture and hand-props, to allow for the sharing of some of the broad range of excellent work across the region. The visiting ACTF respondent made the recommendation of the scene "The Story of Hope", featuring MMC students Lisa Keogh and Jordan Lenards. Nominated scenes confirming interest in participation at the Ames festival will be presented to the Region V Executive Committee, who will choose the final slate of scenes, based on a number of criteria, including number of showcase slots, productions that may have been invited as full festival shows, diversity and other items.
