Mount Marty College to Host 36-Hour Giving Event Starting April 20
April 11, 2017
On Thursday, April 20, Mount Marty College is hosting its first ever Giving Day, a 36-hour campaign for student scholarships. From 8:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, Mount Marty College will be reaching out to alumni and friends as they aim to raise $80,000 in scholarship support in honor of the college’s 80th anniversary, making it one of the college’s most ambitious fundraising events.
The theme for the event is “Battle of the Decades,” as Mount Marty alumni will compete throughout the day to see which decade has the greatest participation and the greatest total donation. Since the college was started in 1936, alumni from the 1930’s through the 2010’s, as well as non-alumni, can battle for 1st place.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the MMC Annual Scholarship Fund, supporting Mount Marty College students by providing needed financial assistance. With more than 96% of Mount Marty College students receiving financial assistance, these annual scholarship gifts are important to the college and our students.
