MMC Announces 2018 Homecoming Court

Mount Marty College is gearing up for Homecoming 2018. The annual Lancer Days celebration begins with Mass at 4 p.m. on Feb. 4.

In preparation for the week-long event MMC seniors, along with faculty and staff, chose ten candidates for Lord and Lady Marben.

The five women chosen were: Erin Boyle, O’Neill, Nebraska, daughter of John and Christi Boyle; Laura Cattle, West Wyalong, Australia, daughter of Philip and Sharon Cattle; Morgan Citterman, Ivanhoe, Minnesota, daughter of Archie and Connie Citterman; Abby Keffeler, Piedmont, daughter of Michael and Tammy Keffeler; Vanessa Ryken, Gayville, the daughter of Brian and Laura Ryken.

The five men chosen were: Mel Gabel, Houston, son of Mel and Vanessa Gabel; Ben Hegge, Crofton, Nebraska, son of Bob and Helene Hegge; Riley Pearson, Pender, Nebraska, son of Don & Karen Pearson; Brandon Ronning, Aberdeen, son of Brenda Pulfrey and Brad Ronning; Sam Voigt, Gregory, son of Tim and Jennifer Voigt.

Coronation of Lord and Lady Marben will take place on Friday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Marian Auditorium on the MMC campus. This year’s royalty will be crowned by last year’s Lord, Robert Neswick and last year’s Lady, Krista Radke.

Coronation is just one of many student activities scheduled during the weeklong "Lancer Days 2018-Hollywood Homecoming" celebration. The week’s homecoming activities will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 10th with men’s and women’s basketball games against Briar Cliff University beginning at 2 p.m. in Cimpl Arena and a dance later in the evening.
