Mount Marty College (MMC) recently announced that Heidi Schooley will take on the role of associate director of admissions for the MMC campus in Watertown, South Dakota.

Schooley, a Watertown native and Mount Marty alumna, brings more than 20 years of experience in the fields of leadership and higher education. She is active in the Watertown community, where she serves on the boards of the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement. She is also heavily involved with the Executive Hot Seat Panel for Leadership Watertown, Watertown Workforce Development Committee, American Legion Auxiliary and the United Way.

“Mount Marty College is extremely fortunate to have recruited Heidi Schooley to its staff,” says David Johnson, chairman at Reliabank Dakota and member of the Watertown Advisory Board for MMC – Watertown. “Not only is she an experienced college administrator, but she has distinguished herself as past president of the Watertown Chamber of Commerce and a recognized community leader.”

Stephanie Moser, dean of enrollment for MMC, shares Johnson’s enthusiasm.

“We are thrilled that Heidi has agreed to join the MMC admissions department,” she says. “Her experience in higher education, focus on student and community success and exceptional leadership abilities will make her a vital asset to our team.”

Schooley plans to combine her expertise in the areas of admissions, academics and financial aid with her passion for the Watertown community.

“I am truly honored to be a part of the Mount Marty College community and grateful for the opportunity to serve MMC’s future graduates,” Schooley says. “I will continue to work hard and advocate for higher education, our area’s workforce development initiatives and our community.”
