Center for Academic Excellence

A supportive environment

At Mount Marty, we care about student success, both inside and outside of the classroom. We want to help you reach your goals, pursue your dreams, and find your purpose.

The Center for Academic Excellence offers peer and professional support whether you’re graduating from high school, transferring from a two-year college, or are a busy parent with a full-time job. We’ll help ensure your success through:

  • Individual academic support
  • Peer tutoring
  • Peer-led workshops
  • Writing lab
  • Disability services
  • Structured academic support
  • Placement testing and the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Supplemental instruction
  • Graduate school and professional preparation
  • Partnership for academic student success (PASS)

Our academic and personal support staff will help you create the best version of yourself—academically and personally—at Mount Marty College. Here, you’ll find assistance with reading and writing assignments, the improvement of study skills and time management, preparation for taking objective and essay exams, and supportive sessions for math and science courses. Study groups and instruction sessions can also be arranged.

We’ll help you find your way! Contact Katie Harrell, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Director of Freshman Advising for more information.
