Robbie Neswick (Track & Field)- Robbie scored a 154 in men's golf this past week in a 36 hole meet. The second day, Robbie scored a 74 which tied a MMC men's school record.
Berkley Reitveld (Track & Field)- Berkley is a sophomore nursing student fron Mitchell, SD. She ran her best time of her career at Mount Marty College at the Sioux City Relays with a time of 2:26.95 in the college women's 800 meter run on Friday, April 17th.
William Mart (Track & Field)- Willam, a Junior from Vermillion, SD, broke the school records in the hammer throw and the discus at the Red Raider Relays in Orange City, IA on Saturday, April 11th, 2015. William placed 7th overall in the discus and 10th in the hammer throw.
Katie Groteluschen (Softball)- Katie, a Junior Nursing major from Columbus, NE, led the Lancers to a 2-2 record last week. Katie went 2-0 in the circle and pitched 13 innings, 10 hits, 1 run, 1 earned run with 4 walks and 4 strike outs. She had a 0.538 earned run average on the week.
Christian Petrich(Track & Field)- Christian Petrich, a Sophomore from Lennox, SD placed 4th in the steeplechase at the Wayne State Invitational in Wayne, NE on Saturday, March 28th. Christian's run was also a 40 second improvement from last year.
Allison Cross(Track & Field)- Allison Cross, a Sophomore from Sioux Falls, SD broke the school record in the hammer throw at the Wayne State Invitational in Wayne, NE on Friday, March 27th. Allison's throw was a 9 foot personal improvement from last year.
AJ Griffith(Baseball)- AJ Griffith, a Senior from Great Falls, Montana and a former transfer from Mile City Community College has won his last three starts defeating Mayville State, Valley City State, and University of Winnipeg. This past Saturday (March 21), AJ pitched 5 shutout innings in a victory over Winnipeg to improve his record to 4-0 on the season.
Amber Krause (Softball)- Amber Krause, a Sophomore nursing major from Teamah, NE, led the Lancers to a 6-5 record in Tucson, AZ. Amber hit .455 with 15 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and scored 13 runs.
Zac Hollenback (Baseball)- Senior Outfielder, Zac Hollenback of Las Vegas, NV, went 5 for 7 on March 1 in a doubleheader split versus Waldorf College. His performance included 5 runs, 2 doubles, and 2 Runs Batted In. Hollenback has now scored 10 runs in five games this season. Those two doubles now put the Lancers 4-year starter's career total at 33 doubles.
Abbey VanDenBerg (Indoor Track)- Abbey VanDenBerg, a Senior from Sioux Falls, SD, placed 4th at the Indoor Conference meet in the triple jump with her best jump of the indoor season. She will compete in the triple jump in Geneva, Ohio on March 7th at 10:00am.
Jordan Houdek (Indoor Track)- Jordan, a Sophomore from Highmore, SD, had the best split on our 4x800 relay that placed 8th at the indoor conference meet in Seward, NE on Saturday, February 21st. The 4x800 relay team is an All-Conference team.
April Winne (Women's Basketball)- April scored her 1000th career point during Saturday's game at Nebraska Wesleyan. She became the 21st player to score 1000 points for the Women's Basketball program. She is currently 20th all-time in points scared at MMC.
Jordan Houdek (Indoor Track)- Jordan is a Sophomore from Highmore, SD. Jordan ran the 3rd best 600 in school history and the 6th best 800 in school history at the SDSU Invitational in Brookings, SD on February 13th and 14th.
Mandy O'Malley (Indoor Track)- Mandy is a Sophmore from North Platte, NE. Mandy anchored the women's 4 x 800 relay with the best split on the team that broke the school record and qualified for the Indoor National track meet in Geneva, OH March 5-7th, 2015. The team placed 4th overall with teams of NAIA, Division 2 and Division 1 competing.
Anthony Stransky (Men's Basketball)- Anthony is a junior from Denver, CO. He is a criminal justice major who carries one of the highest GPA's on the team. He is a living display of what a good teammate should be: unselfish, accountable, competitive, enthusiastic, and he appreciates his teammates very much.
Kelsey Sutera (Women's Basketball)- Kelsey is a freshman from Tabor, SD who is majoring in Pyschology. Kelsey is a great example of the work ethic we want all our players to compete with. Her hustle, accountability, communication, unselfishness, and willingness to do the little things are all key components to our program. In addition to her work on the court she has done a fantastic job with singing the National Anthem before several home games this season
Bud Smith (Men's Basketball)- Saladin "Bud" Smith is a Senior from St. Louis, MO. Bud reached the 1000 point plateau for a career this past week scoring 21 points against Oglala Lakota College. He becomes the 20th player in program history to surpass 1000 points for a career. He currently leads the Lancers in scoring with 16.0/game.
Ashley Green (Women's Basketball)- Ashley is a Sophomore from Burke, SD who is an Elementary Education Major with a 3.40 GPA. Ashley has a great work ethic and fantastic attitude and is one of our hardest workers in practice. She is a leader for our JV teams, and is currently 3rd on the entire team for charges taken!
Deric Denning (Men's Basketball)- Deric is a freshman from Mount Vernon, SD. Deric averaged 10.5 points over the last week going 7-11 from the 3 point line. He is also a terrific student who carries a 4.0 GPA.
April Winne (Women's Basketball)- April scored 20 points in a victory over Dordt on Wednesday and had 18 points and 4 assists in a road win at Doane on Saturday. April is a 5th year Senior from Olivet, SD and is averaging 13 points and 3 assists per game for the Lancers.
Cody Willett (Men's Basketball)- Cody is a Freshman from Canton, SD. This past week, Cody averaged 7 points and 6 rebounds including a 10 rebound performance against Presentation College. Cody also gets it done in the classroom with a team high GPA of 4.0
Holly Hegge (Women's Basketball)- Holly had 18 points and 3 rebounds against Briar Cliff and 14 points and 5 rebounds vs. Presentation College. The Senior Captain from Crofton, NE has been a leader on and off the court for the Lancers and has a 3.97 GPA at Mount Marty.
Alex Irvine (Men's Basketball)- Alex, a junior from Tea, SD, had a solid week for the Lancer men. During the past week, Alex averaged 9 points on 70% shooting from the field. He was also active on the glass and averaged 2.5 assists over the week. He is also very involved on campus with FCA and student government.
Abbey VanDenBerg (Indoor Track)- Abbey, a senior from Sioux Falls, SD, was a national qualifier in the first indoor meet of the year in the triple jump on Saturday, December 6th. She will compete at the National Indoor NAIA meet in Geneva, OH on March 5th to the 7th.
Josh Monson (Indoor Track)- Josh is a Senior from Bryant, SD and he won the Midland half-marathon in Fremont, NE on December 6th and in doing so he qualified for the Outdoor National meet for the marathon on May 23rd to be held in South Shore, AL.
Karen Mayfield (Indoor Track)- Karen is a Sophomore from Watertown, SD and placed 2nd in the Midland half-marathon in Fremont, NE on December 6th and in doing so she qualified for the outdoor national meet for the marathon on May 23rd to be held in South Shore, AL.
Seamus O'Malley (Men's Basketball)- Seamus is a freshman from Centerville, SD. Seamus has been emerging as the year continues and had a nice game at Dordt this past week, scoring 8 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Cheyenne Lambley (Women's Basketball)- Cheyenne is a senior from Burke, SD who is majoring in Elementary/Special Education. Cheyenne had 10 points and 3 rebounds in the Lancer 65-64 win over Dordt on November 25th. For the season, she is averaging 8 points and 4 rebounds while leading the team in offensive rebounds. Cheyenne was also voted as a team captain this season.
Lorenzo Davis (Men's Basketball)- Lorenzo is a senior from St. Paul, MN who is majoring in Business Administration. Lorenzo helped the Lancers go 1-1 this past week, providing some solid play at the point guard position totaling 10 points and 4 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 100% at the FT line.
Sam Blake (Women's Basketball)- Sam is a junior from Centerville, SD. Sam's hardwork and dedication in the off-season prepared her for a successful season this year. She played a big role in our two victories this week over Oglala Lakota College and Midland University.
Bud Smith (Men's Basketball)- Bud Smith, a senior from St. Louis, Missouri, scored a career high of 30 points in the season's home opener vs. Concordia while also accumulating 7 rebounds and 5 assists. So far on the season, Bud is leading the Lancers in scoring (19.2/gm), assists (3/gm), and steals (1.5/gm) through the first six games this season.
Alex Kneeland (Women's Basketball)- Alex Kneeland is a Junior from Summit, SD. Alex scored 11 points against Concordia on Wednesday and recorded a collegiate career high of 32 points in an exhibition game against University of Sioux Falls on Saturday. She is currently averaging 13.8 ppg which leads the Lancers.
Justin Sudtelgte (Cross Country)- Justin is a Freshman from Elkton, SD and was Mount Marty's 2nd runner on the team at the Conference Cross Country meet held in Mitchell, SD on November 8th, 2014.
Laura Groseth (Volleyball)- Laura had 13 kills against DWU last Wednesday, hitting .393. She also had 3 assisted blocks against Northwestern in the playoff game.
Genaro Bustillos (Soccer)- Genaro had one goal vs. Hasting College 30 yards out.
Bailey Kuchta (Volleyball)- Bailey, a Junior, hit her 500th career kill against Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, October 25th.
Christian Petrich (Men's Cross Country)- Christian is a sophomore from Lennox, SD and ran on of the best cross country races of his career as he was the 2nd Mount Marty runner on the men's team at the Mount Marty Cross Country Invitational placing 86th out of the 227 runners that finished the race.
Kristen Boyle (Volleyball)- Kristen reached her 500th career kill this weekend against Midland University.
Patrick Frank - Pat has been instrumental in the operations of the Athletic Department as far as videoing games/scrimmages, running errands and shagging balls during volleyball games.
Dennisha Johanneson (Volleyball)- Had a great game against Presentation JV leading the team in kills against the Saints. Dennisha had 5 kills in set 1 alone.
Genaro Bustillos (Men's Soccer)- Scored two goals to lead Mount Marty Men's Soccer team to a 2-1 win over morningside.
Mandy O'Malley (Cross Country) - Mandy O'Malley placed 4th in the College Division in the SDSU Cross Country Invitational helping lead the Mount Marty Lancer women to 1st place as a team. They won over Jamestown, a team that received National votes, DWU, DSU, and SW State in Minnesota.
Juan Magana (Men's Soccer) - Scored two goals vs. Grace and one goal vs. Nebraska Wesleyan.
Roxy Ross (Volleyball) - Roxy has been a great part of the Mount Marty Volleyball team. Roxy is a leader in that she is very positive and supportive of the team. Roxy plays a huge role in pumping the team up before, between, and after matches.
Gage Blaschke (Cross Country)- Blaschke led the Lancer men to a 2nd place finish out of 6 teams at the DWU Invitational at Mitchell, SD with his 9th place finish.
Allison Cross (Volleyball)- Cross broke a MMC school record of 9 blocks in a 3-game match against Concordia University after coming off of a two week injury.
Humberto Estrada (Men's Soccer)- Goal keeper, Estrada, had 1 save against Central Christian College and the next day had 8 saves against McPherson College.
Jordyn Hudelson (Cross Country) - Hudelson, a Junior from Elk Point, SD, won her first collegiate cross country meet at the Herb Blakely Invitational in Madison, SD on Saturday September 13th. She lead the Mount Marty women to the team title in a field of six teams.
Dylan Brende (Men's Golf) - Brende tied the 18 hole MMC record with a 74 at Landsmeer in Orange City, IA last Friday. His round included 1 eagle and 2 birdies.
Breanna Thege (Volleyball) - Thege has been averaging 5 digs per set and is currently 4th in our conference for digs per set.
Ludwin Arana (Men's Soccer) - Ludwin scored a hat trick (three goals) in the Lancers 3-1 win over York College on August 26th.
Sierra Kloth (Volleyball) - Kloth's hitting percentage was over .300 for the 4 out of 5 games. Also getting 22 kills against Friends University.
