Published Date8\9\2012
Mount Marty College is pleased to announce the signing of Kristina Bruce to play soccer for the Lancers. Bruce, a forward, has been an outstanding player for the Central Union High School team in Imperial, CA. She was named 1st team All-Valley three years and was named Kloth Memorial Outstanding Athlete. Bruce also received recognitions such as the Sand Diego Union Tribune, Coaches Award, and was All-Academic while participating in sports.

"We are excited to have an athlete like Kristina joining our soccer program," says Nathan Epp, head women's soccer coach. "Her size, speed, and aggressiveness will make her a valuable weapon for our offense."

Off the field, Bruce is also a talented student. She's been a recurring honor roll student all four years, received recognition at the regional and local science fair, was part of Link Crew and Campus Life.

Epp continues, "MMC is also getting a solid student in Kristina. She will fit in very well with the campus community and the women's soccer team."

Bruce, the daughter of Terry and Linda Bruce of Imperial, CA, plans to major in exercise wellness at Mount Marty College. She will be receiving an academic incentive scholarship in addition to her soccer award.
