Mount Marty College head baseball coach, Andy Bernatow, is excited to announce the commitment of Bertram to the Lancer Baseball program. "It has always been an emphasis to recruit and bring in local talent. Collin has been on the coaching staff's radar for quite some time and we feel fortunate to have him continuing his education and baseball career at Mount Marty College. Collin has been coming to the Mount Marty College Baseball Camps for several years which has allowed us to build a strong relationship with him. He has had a tremendous high school and legion career and has been coached by one of the best in Coach Jason Gault. We have an immediate need for left-handed pitching and Collin is one of the best in the state. Collin has a ton of natural baseball ability and we are going to give him the opportunity to play both outfield and pitch. His future is bright and I am excited to get him on campus."

Collin is the son of Randy and Jolynne Bertram and will major in recreation management at Mount Marty College. Collin has had a distinguished academic high school career carrying a 4.0 grade point average. He was also a member of the Honors Program and National Honor Society. Bertram will receive an Academic Excellence Scholarship in addition to his Athletic Baseball Scholarship at Mount Marty College.
